AftertakeMac beta
Aftertake / Product

Keep the idea moving.

Aftertake Bridge. Your take, inside your DAW.

Find something worth keeping in Aftertake, then send it to Bridge in your session. Audio, stems and MIDI stay together, ready for the next part.

A plugin for your creative handoff

Bridge is a separate plugin. In the desktop app, open your profile menu or Settings, then Components. Development editions are VST3 and Audio Unit for Apple Silicon Macs. Public downloads are not open yet.

From take to track

  1. Open a connection. Load Aftertake Bridge on a track in your DAW.
  2. Send the version you want. Choose the open Bridge instance in Aftertake and send audio, stems or a saved MIDI revision.
  3. Make it part of the session. Audition received audio in Bridge and drag files into your arrangement. Source positions remain visible so you can align the parts.

Made for the space between apps

The transfer stays on your Mac. Bridge keeps its own media copy, so closing Aftertake does not remove the files you sent. Your original takes and regular export options stay available.

Your DAW, your workflow

REAPER · Ableton Live · FL Studio · Cubase
VST3 is the first development target. Host compatibility is being tested; this is not yet a certified support list.
Logic Pro
Choose the Audio Unit edition. The component has been checked in an isolated audio host; compatibility inside Logic is still being verified.
Pro Tools
Needs an AAX edition and its separate SDK and signing requirements. AAX is not included in the first VST3 development build.

Receiving a take in Bridge and placing it on the arrangement are separate steps. The plugin provides audition and file drag. The development plugin also implements direct audio placement in REAPER, with project-aware duplicate checks, Undo and batches for larger transfers. That path still needs acceptance in a real REAPER session. Other hosts use file drag; automatic MIDI arrangement placement is not implemented.
