Choose an engine

Generation runs on your machine. Setup matters.

One is enough

ACE-Step 1.5 and MiniMax Music 3 are the current local generation paths. The first release aims to recommend one validated ACE profile; the MiniMax option still requires its exact Mac path and commercial obligations to be resolved.

MiniMax-Music-3 is provided by MiniMax. Model terms apply even when you install weights separately. An Aftertake licence does not replace an engine licence.

Before installation

  1. Review the exact profile, licence, download location and transfer size.
  2. Check working disk space and the supported hardware matrix.
  3. Download the pinned artifacts, verify them, then run a real device check.

The development build includes a guided manager with pinned downloads, checks and repair. Partial files stay inactive; existing shared models are preserved. No one should need to disable macOS Gatekeeper.

Current reference

The selected Comfy weight sets are about 19.877 GB for ACE XL-base and 23.627 GB for Music 3. Those are transfer sizes, not RAM minima or total installation sizes.

A failed engine check should disable generation while leaving your recordings and audio tools available. See the current requirements evidence and third-party notices.
